  • Departing Whitehorse, we make our way to the Teslin River, once a well-travelled river route and home to healthy populations of moose and bears.

We follow the Teslin to its confluence with the Yukon river and stop at the historic former trading post and telegraph station of Hootalinqua. Here one can see various artifacts and remnants from the heyday of the river boat era.

We then fly over Shipyard Island where the remnants of the 130 foot Sternwheeler Evelyn can be seen where she has rested since being removed from service in 1918. From there we follow the famous Yukon River route to Lake Laberge, and make our way back to Whitehorse.
